Inflammation

Inflammation is the underlying cause for a wide range of diseases, and many attempts to address this unmet need directly have failed to meet expectations. While the role of chemokines in proinflammatory pathways is well defined, the development of drugs targeting these pathways has been limited either due to lack of selectivity or unpredicted biology. Carolus Therapeutics believes it has discovered a unique approach to address this unmet need through modulation of proinflammatory chemokine pathways. By targeting specific proinflammatory chemokine-chemokine interactions, and leaving other endogenous pathways important for immune surveillance intact, our programs could prove efficacious where others have failed, and provide superior safety profiles. The company’s researchers have a deep understanding of chemokine binding interactions with robust structural data that allows Carolus to apply its technology to multiple targets addressing unmet needs in a host of therapeutic areas.
